We are seeking a warm, experienced and inspiring Early Years Room Leader to play a key role in leading our Nursery provision. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to support the day-to-day running of a high-quality Early Years setting and make a meaningful impact on children’s earliest learning experiences.

Working with children aged 6 months to 4 years, you will lead a designated room within the Nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain exceptional standards of care, education and compliance, while supporting and developing colleagues within your team.

About the Role and You

Contract type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start date: Immediate start available

As Room Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of your Nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and education
  • Supporting the Nursery Manager with the overall running of the setting
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Leading, mentoring and supporting Nursery practitioners within your room
  • Contributing to staff development, including coaching and performance support
  • Building positive and professional relationships with parents and carers
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and statutory EYFS requirements
  • Monitoring children’s progress and supporting their individual development journeys

What Are We Looking For?

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Experience within a Nursery or Early Years setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, organised and proactive approach to work
  • The ability to lead by example and inspire high standards of practice
