Early Years Deputy Manager

St Martin’s Preparatory School, Grimsby

We are looking for a warm, skilled, and inspiring Early Years Deputy Manager - Room Lead to help lead our exceptional Early Years team. Could that be you?

You will help to guide the day-to-day running of our thriving Nursery, ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. Working with children aged 6 months to 4 years, you will help create joyful, curiosity-fuelled experiences that support each child's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

About the Role

Contract: Full-time, Term Time

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Start date: Immediate start available

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager with the smooth running of the Nursery
  • Ensuring a safe, welcoming, stimulating learning environment
  • Leading, supporting, and mentoring staff across the setting
  • Assisting with staff training, appraisals, and professional development
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Helping to deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences
  • Upholding the principles and statutory requirements of the EYFS

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulations
  • Experience supervising or leading staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, organised approach, able to prioritise and work to deadlines
