We've had a fantastic day raising money for #ChildrenInNeed! Wearing our Pyjamas and various Pudsey attire, we were very cosy in our lessons! Shackleton Snack Shack meant we had many different treats to choose from for break time. Then, this afternoon we kept it calm with various mindful activities. Today Booth's assembly taught us about teeth! We learnt about the different types of teeth, the threats of sugar and plaque and how to brush our teeth - we even had a live demonstration of how to brush our teeth (and how NOT to floss!). Thank you Booth for teaching us about how to look after our teeth!

Today, Doyle hosted our Remembrance Assembly where we thought of those who gave their lives for our freedom. The children performed poetry about the horrors of war and we all reflected on how fortunate we are that people of the past, the present and the future fight for our human rights.

The Friends organised a fun Halloween Day for our Children! Fancy dress costumes, a disco and pumpkin competitions, it has been a great day and the children have had so much fun!

Today was Reception's very first class assembly! It was really lovely to hear them tell us the story of the Rainbow Fish - we learn about how we are all different and the importance of including and being kind to others

We are a diverse school with many different countries and cultures represented! Today was a day to celebrate the variety that we have in school - with many parents coming in to talk about different countries and cultures, activities from around the world, traditional dress and an International Buffet Lunch where the children tried food from all around the world! Churchill have been doing great work in maths this week! They have been looking at adding near multiples of 10, using adding and subtracting on numberlines. Keep up the good work Churchilll!

In this morning's assembly, Churchill class talked to us about animals! We discovered some animals many of us hadn't heard of before, including the Saola - the 'Asian Unicorn'. We learnt about how many of these animals are endangered and how we can help protect our world.

Today our Elgar class hosted a bake sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support! We were overwhelmed with the generosity of our pupils as they baked and donated in support of Macmillan. We raised £310 overall for this superb charity!

In the spirit of the current World Cup, Booth's assembly was all about Sport and Peace today! We sang the National Anthem (perhaps better than the footballers we see on TV!) and learnt all about how sport helps us all.

A big well done to all of our fantastic children who enter our Annual Talent Show. From singing and dancing to piano and guitar; magic tricks and jokes to skipping and gymnastics, there was something for everyone. It was difficult to pick a winner, but Maia was voted as the top talent by the Teachers and Elgar pupils who didn’t participate.
