Over the past year, Mrs Crookes has run not one, not two but twelve(!) races across the UK, from 5-10KM, with Mr Gilchristjoining her on some of the races to raise nearly £1,100 for a nearby charity, St Andrews Hospice.
These have ranged across the year from a muddy and very hilly Essex to a Wildlife Run in Doncaster in April. July took Mrs Crookes and Mr Gilchrist to the hilly Sting in the Tail where some of our pupils were there to cheer them both on, which they also did later in July at the local Grimsby 10K, with a St Martins team taking on the Gruesome Twosome in mid-October.
Mrs Crookes’ final three races took her back to Essex to take on the Billericay 10K, before the final race, last week saw her and a number of local friends in the Christmas spirit at the Great Sprout Scuttle 10K.
Well done Mrs Crookes! We could not be prouder of your hard work across the year in all these races to raise so much for charity. Thank you to all staff, parents and pupils who have sponsored and cheered her on this year.
