Pre Prep School - A day in the life...
Our day begins at 8.30, when we meet with friends on the school playground. There is always someone to play with, a teacher or Mr Thompson to have a conversation with. After registration at 8.55, we go to our classrooms to begin the day’s activities.
Before play we usually do our English lesson. We always practice our phonics and then do some writing and we read our books to our teachers- lots to do! Then it is playtime, we get our healthy snack and head off into the playground and meet our friends from all the other classes. It’s always great fun playing on the timber trail!
When playtime is finished we go back inside to do our maths for the day. We love maths, especially when we get to play games on the interactive whiteboard and do lots of practical investigation!
At lunchtime we head to the hall, where our school Cooks have prepared our delicious lunch. The older children will sit with us to eat and we love to tell them all our news, they are always smiley and helpful. After we have eaten, it’s back out into the playground. At lunchtime play we have lots of toys out on the yard so you never get bored.
In the afternoon we get to do lots of exciting things such as Science, History, Geography, Art, P.E. French and outdoor learning. It is then time for show and tell, pack our bags with homework and then get ready for one of our many after school clubs.
Our teacher always encourages us to reach our full potential each and every day.
