| Children are accepted into our thriving Kindergarten from the age of three for mornings only but with the option of staying additional afternoons if they wish. It is during these early years that our pupils are given the foundation on which the rest of their development will depend. Our Early Years Department, inspected by Ofsted offers a happy and secure environment in which all children can develop and learn. They steadily gain confidence and are taught to share and become members of a community. Under the care of qualified teachers and assistants, the children are taught the first steps in reading writing and number work. Each child is assessed individually and taught
according to his or her ability. Children progress to the Upper Kindergarten and Reception Classes when they are ready to cope with more structured teaching. By the time they transfer into the Infant Department, most children are able to read write and count well.
Parents are able to use their Early Years Grant entitlement to offset the cost of the school fees for three to five year olds. |
