Extending Horizons

Gaining insight through school visits

At St. Martin’s, we are fortunate to have children from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds. This promotes your child’s further understanding of other cultures and, by combining this with hands on learning experiences, your child’s curiosity and understanding will develop.

We aim to enrich your child’s life with a variety of school visits and visitors, allowing them to gain valuable insight into life in the wider world. They join the whole school in celebrating events such as World Book Day, and religious festivals.

To further promote your child’s curiosity, we embed outdoor learning into the curriculum so that your child can learn by experiencing the natural world. We believe that outdoor learning is one of the most important companions in children's growth and development. It helps to build creativity, confidence, and independence, offering a refreshing change of pace from the traditional classroom setting.
