Following on from Elgar's assembly on the importance of supporting local businesses, today we hosted our Support Local Christmas Shop! Over 15 indendent local businesses came to the school to take part, selling their fantastic products. Our parents and children loved taking in the festive atmosphere with mulled wine (for the grown ups!), baked delights from 'H's Cakes', sweets from Sweet Temptations and shopping from local shops such as Salt & Silver Jewellery, That Hat Shop, Soap Shack, The Boutique, Treasured Bouquets, Boho Belle, Leopard Spots Baby, Waltham Pine and Oak, It Started With a Stitch, Cleethorpes Candle Co, Angela Marie Designs, Ocean Breeze Candles, and Raspberry Garden Candles. It felt great for us, as a local school with many parents who are also business owners (and many of our children who will go on to become business owners in the future), to support our local community.
